Planning for Tomorrow: Putnam County Secures State Grant to Shape Future Growth

Putnam County has received a major investment in its future through the Florida Department of Commerce's Community Planning Technical Assistance (CPTA) Grant Program, securing funding to support long-term planning and economic development efforts across the county.

The grant, awarded to Putnam County with assistance from the Putnam County Chamber’s Economic Development team, will provide critical resources to help the community strategically plan for future growth, infrastructure needs, and economic opportunities. The CPTA program is designed to help local governments strengthen their planning capacity and prepare for sustainable development that enhances quality of life and economic competitiveness.

Representatives from Putnam County and the Economic Development team recently attended a grant award ceremony where the funding was formally presented by Governor DeSantis. The award reflects a collaborative effort between County leadership, staff, and economic development partners who worked together to identify community needs and pursue available state resources.
