Strengthening North Florida’s Economy: Georgia-Pacific’s $83M Palatka Expansion

Georgia-Pacific Invests $83 Million to Expand Palatka Mill and Streamline Regional Distribution
Georgia-Pacific is investing $83 million to expand its warehouse and distribution operations at its Palatka, Florida mill. The expansion features a new 400,000-square-foot warehouse, advanced automated technology, and a 36-acre trailer yard designed to streamline direct-to-retail shipping and strengthen supply chain efficiency. Relying on JAXPORT to import raw materials like eucalyptus pulp, the Palatka facility—Putnam County's largest private employer—will create more than 20 new jobs while bolstering Northeast Florida's manufacturing economy.
