Reintroducing Mirthful Creations: A Season of Art, Adventure, and Rachael’s Return to Putnam County

Featuring the work of artist Rachael Mirth, Mirthful Creations

This winter, award-winning chainsaw artist Rachael Mirth has returned to Putnam County, bringing with her seasons worth of growth, travel, and remarkable accomplishments. Although her time in Florida is limited for the winter, she is determined to make this season her most successful yet. Rachael is excited to offer the community a chance to experience and invest in her one-of-a-kind artistic masterpieces.

Growing Roots in Putnam County

At the beginning of the year, Rachael made it a priority to truly immerse herself in Putnam County. She joined the Chamber of Commerce, carved live at the Azalea Festival (which partnered with the National BassMaster Fishing Tournament) and spent time building relationships with local businesses and community members. She had no idea at the time that these early months in Putnam County would help set the tone for one of the biggest years of her career.

Spring Competitions and Creative Growth

As spring arrived, Rachael hitched up her camper and traveled to Pennsylvania, where she competed in three chainsaw carving competitions. Each event brought together talented artists from across the country, and carving alongside them pushed her to grow in new and exciting ways. These competitions helped sharpen her skills, expand her creative abilities, and strengthen her confidence in her artistic direction.

Summer Training in South Carolina

Rachael then spent two months carving roadside in South Carolina. It was a period of intense, hands-on practice, where she carved new and challenging subjects. The experience allowed her to refine her technique, experiment with new details, and explore a deeper level of creativity and precision in her work.

Carving Among the Best in the World

Later in the summer, Rachael headed north to serve as a supporting carver at the U.S. Open Chainsaw Carving Competition. This invitation placed her among some of the most talented carvers in the US and the World, a recognition she holds as one of her proudest achievements of the year.

The Rocky Mountains: Her Biggest Project Yet

Rachael then traveled to Grand Lake, Colorado, where she tackled the largest project of her career. She spent two weeks carving multiple 12-foot tall stumps into towering, intricate Trout-themed masterpieces. Carving alone in the Rocky Mountains tested her creativity, endurance, and focus, and resulted in work she considers some of her finest to date.

Montana, Elite Carvers, and an Exciting Project Yet to Be Announced

The late summer months took her to Paradise Valley, Montana, where she carved beneath stunning mountain views. Rachael also competed in the highly regarded Clash of the Carvers, known for featuring elite levels of talent, with a short trip to Libby, Montana! While in Montana, she spent a month working on a major project that will be publicly announced soon. There’s a strong chance that followers may even catch it on the big screen in the near future!

Returning to Florida With Passion and Purpose

After a year filled with travel, artistic breakthroughs, and personal achievements, Rachael is thrilled to be back in Florida for the winter. With close family in the area and a deep appreciation for the community that welcomed her, she is eager to bring her renewed skill and passion to local homes and businesses.

Now Booking Winter Commissions: A Limited Opportunity
