Putnam County hosts NFEDP Quarterly Board Meeting

Putnam County Hosts NFEDP Quarterly Meeting with 130 Regional Leaders from 14 Florida Counties

Putnam County took center stage on June 5, 2026, as the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce proudly hosted the North Florida Economic Development Partnership (NFEDP) Quarterly Board of Directors and General Membership Meeting at the Putnam County Fairgrounds. The event brought a surge of regional energy and collaboration to our community, and Putnam County rose to the occasion.

A remarkable 130 attendees from 14 Florida counties traveled to Putnam County for this gathering, making it one of the most well‑attended NFEDP meetings in recent years. The strong turnout reflects the growing recognition of Putnam County’s momentum, leadership, and role as a rising force in North Florida’s economic landscape.

Putnam County’s leadership was front and center. County Commissioner Larry Harvey, who currently serves as Vice‑Chair of NFEDP, joined fellow Commissioners Leota Wilkinson and J.R. Newbold in representing our community with pride. Their presence underscored Putnam County’s commitment to regional partnership and its active voice in shaping North Florida’s economic future.

The meeting also drew many county and city administrators from across Northeast Florida, including Putnam County Administrator Terry Suggs, further highlighting the importance of Putnam County as a hub for collaboration and strategic dialogue.

Throughout the day, attendees engaged in discussions on rural competitiveness, infrastructure investment, workforce development, and the shared opportunities that unite the North Florida region. Hosting this event allowed Putnam County to showcase not only its ongoing projects and community assets, but also the spirit of partnership and progress that defines our county.

The Chamber extends its sincere appreciation to NFEDP members, regional partners, and local leaders who made this gathering a success. Putnam County was proud to welcome the region, and even prouder to demonstrate the energy, readiness, and forward momentum that continue to define our path ahead.
