Palatka, FL — Local youth and families can cool off this summer as the Project P.L.A.Y. splash pad officially reopened just in time for the hot season. The splash pad re-opening celebration took place Friday, May 22, 2026, at 3:00 PM, marking the start of summer fun at this popular Putnam County destination.
Over the winter, the splash pad received exciting upgrades to improve safety and comfort for children and families. The improvements include:

A special thank you to Commissioner Leota Wilkinson, whose discretionary commissioner funds contributed $30,660 toward the improvements. The project also received support from Putnam County and the Rotary Club of Palatka.
