Since 1958, St. Johns River State College has built a solid reputation as a full-service education provider with campuses in Palatka, St. Augustine and Orange Park. SJR State offers two bachelor's degrees, the two-year A.A. (transfer) degree, more than 30 college-credit technical degrees and certificates, and an array of cultural and athletic events.
The Palatka campus is located just off of Hwy 19 and is home to the nursing program, four athletic programs and the Florida School of the Arts (www.floarts.org).
SJR State is truly the community’s college, enriching a diverse population of students ranging in age from 16 to 60. Many Putnam County residents enroll part-time to upgrade their skills or to cross-train into other areas.

The Saint Leo University’s, Northeast Florida Center opened in 1994 through an educational partnership with Saint Johns River State College.
